Farmtastic Camp
This will be an "Ag-venture your child will never forget"!
This is a day camp for YOUNG FARMERS 1st thru 5th grade!

July 23 thru July 27, 2012, 8am - 12noonThe following are brief overviews of a day at Farm Camp. In addition, Campers will make a Journal and write about their farm experience every day. Farmtastic Fun activities are planned each day too!
Monday:
"Welcome to the Farm"Camper will get familiar with the farm (the barn, the field, and more). They will be introduced to the small animals on the farm.
Tuesday
: "Animals & More"Camper will take care of the animals, feed and water them, gather eggs, etc. We'll discuss the DO'S and DONT'S of being around animals and learn how the animals are important to a farm. Camper will also learn the importance of sun, rain, insects and more. Camper will search for some of the various critters and take home their own bug catching supplies.
Wednesday:
"Tools on the Farm & Safety"Camper will learn about all the tools we use, learn how to measure, how to tie special knots & more. There are many fun things on the farm, however we'll take a close look at the different areas where safety must come first...including tractors, the field, the barn and even food.
Thursday:
"Food Comes From Where?"Camper will learn the miracle of how a seed becomes a fruit/vegetable. Next, we'll put their knowledge to the test and do some soil preparation, planting & weeding by hand. Then we'll discuss all kinds of food...meat, vegetables, fruit & candy. Finally, Camper will experiment with tasting those foods and take home their very own planted seed.
Friday:
"Look at What I've Learned!"This is a day to review all that we learned throughout the week. Camper may invite parents to the farm at 10:00 for a farm style snack that your Camper has prepared. Journals, bug gear, plant, etc. all go home this day.

A week's worth of great fun and learning costs only $125!REGISTER BY MAY 15, 2012 AND RECEIVE $25 OFF REGISTRATION FEE!

Note: Activities may change due to weather or other circumstances.
Farmtastic Camp Details:
1. Camper needs to dress in clothes that can get dirty, shoes that cover and protect their feet, NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS!
2. Please apply sunscreen prior to arrival, and send extra if the Camper is sensitive to the sun.
3. Camper may also need a hat - IT GETS HOT OUTSIDE!
4. Please send your Camper with a packed snack Monday-Thursday! We will provide a water bottle or you may send one with their name on it.
5. Please pick up your Camper at the designated dismissal time.
