What should you expect?
Please expect to get lost, have fun, learn something & make memories.Clothing & Footwear?
Watch the weather...and remember the weather yesterday.When the sun is shining, but the air feels a little cool bring a jacket. It's always a little cooler in the country.
Always wear old shoes to a corn maze...the paths are dirt. Remember this is a working farm, so your shoes need to withstand dirt, straw, grass, gravel & more. When we get rain, even the day before, please wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy.
BE PREPARED - GALOSHES, SUNSCREEN, COMFY/OLD SHOES, UMBRELLA, JACKET/COAT, HAT, INSECT REPELLENT, FLASHLIGHT
Restrooms & Hand Washing?
There is a portable restroom trailer on site. So, you'll have extra nice facilities to use while on the farm. Additionally, there are several hand sanitizers placed in our picnic area and barn.
Farm Policies
A word from the corn...
Bad words hurt our tender ears (and we have a lot of ears), so we don't want to hear them at Guffey Acres. If you use bad words you'll be asked to shuck 1,000 corn cobs, or go home.Moonshine and cigars...
Well, we all know that moonshine (or any alcoholic spirits) is bad for the animals. And we don't have any that smoke cigars or cigarettes either. So, in deference to the Barnyard Buddies, we do not allow any alcoholic beverages or tobacco products at the farm.Bringing food to the farm...
We have concessions (Cole's Concessions...at the Big Red Barn) which offers a varied menu from which to choose. Whether it's eats or drink, we are sure to have something to satisfy the most finicky appetite. So, no outside food or beverages are allowed. ***THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO FIELDTRIPS***Animals on the Farm...Yours and Ours
